Byte-size Arabic Zaineb Istrabadi and students of Arabic Come see Arabic in action! Our first year students of Arabic and NELC Drama Club members will present mini sketches so you can see firsthand how to introduce yourself or order tea in Arabic. Get ready for the next step: two Arabic instructors will teach YOU how to greet people and introduce yourself in Arabic! The World Language Festival is an opportunity for Indiana high school students, parents and educators to explore and celebrate the different languages and cultures of our world without the added expense of airfare or hotel-stays. Participants will choose from an array of diverse presentations where they might learn to speak Italian, join an African dance, witness a Chinese Tai chi chuan demonstration, write their name in Sanskrit, or step back in time and discover medieval Germanic societies! Your students will experience firsthand the vast language and cultural opportunities at Indiana University Bloomington which offers over 75 languages and 80 overseas study programs. IUB is a world renowned university committed to foreign and second language study and global awareness.
